Do you purchase your pet’s meds on-line?

By petsourc in Uncategorized on November 23rd, 2009

I’m looking for a legitimate site to purchase pet meds such as Frontline and Sentinel. Looking for a cheaper price than what I pay at the vet’s. Would like to know your experience with this. Thank you.

i buy all my dog food at www. totalpetsupply. com and I LOVE IT. . it is so much more conveniant then going to the vets.

I am very happy with Dr Foster & Smith.

I always order my flea meds from them. From my research they are the least expensive place to buy Advantix. They also have clearance sales often for toys and other doggie/kitty paraphernalia (toys, chews, brushes, clothes).

  3. if i were you i would not order online for them. you never know what they are sending you. you could probably find them at a pet store but if you don’t i know one website that is good that only sells those medicines.

  4. Yes, we regularly use: http://www. canadavet. com/ (their store is not just for Canadians. ) Don’t use them if you are in a hurry, though, as shipping is pretty slow.

  5. There are some very good, legitimate pet medication sites available:

    www. petcarerx. com
    www. totalpetsupply. com
    www. 1800petmeds. com
    www. medi-vet. com

However, I personally pay the higher price to my vet for a few reasons:

    1. Other than flea and tick control, I wouldn’t want a vet whom I’ve never met to prescribe medications for my animal. Most online pet pharmacy sites still require a prescription for many items.

    2. If something goes wrong, my vet knows instantly what they’ve prescribed and what alternates to suggest or how to fix the problem.

    3. Because more and more people are using websites for medications, routine costs at Vet practices are going up. Medication and pet food sales help vets keep prices lower on shots and other medical procedures.

    Good luck :)
